Best Western Plus Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach

The beds were great. The rooms were clean. The first breakfast we had was awesome. The next two were OK. I like that. They change up breakfast though the staff the ladies that wait on you at the breakfast in the mornings they are awesome. They are the sweetest ladies we asked to stay an extra night in the desk clerk was able to give us the same room for one more night. It was overall a good experience.

I am a Best Western rewards member and this is my first time staying at this hotel. The room is prefect. We booked a king size bed, shower only with microwave and refrigerator. The room was clean, the bed is soft and the decor is up to date. The hotel smelled really good as well. My daughter will be coming to college here. This will be the hotel we book when we come to visit. It’s also close to great food places and some good shopping.

Loved staying for 3 nights! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and the hotel is in a great location. Close to our favorite chain restaurants like Cracker Barrel and Olive Garden, and a short drive to local spots and just short drive from Downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville beach and the interstate is right there so you have easy access to anything. Going to Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher from here is super easy. I also wanted to give a shout out to Barbara and Stephie, the breakfast attendants working when we stayed were very sweet and accommodating; we couldn’t eat pork and they had alternative options for us ready the next morning. The breakfast was good! They said they have options for vegans and vegetarians as well so they may able to provide other options for breakfast if you just ask. They really made us feel at home! Thank you! I also love that they have water and coffee available all day in the lobby.

The room was nice and comfortable and very clean. The staff were all kind and courteous. The breakfast had a great selection. While we only stayed one night, I would definitely consider staying here again. Great location also.

Our experience at this hotel was stellar. The staff all were friendly and had amazing customer service. We were traveling with our dog so we got a pet friendly room and it was beautifully clean and perfect location to a door outside. They even have a designated place for the pups outside and provide bags and a garbage can in the grass area. Breakfast was also good! The woman working the breakfast area was on top of everything, making sure that everything was fresh, clean, and everyone had what they needed. There are about a million restaurants and places in the surrounding areas. It was hard to decided where to get lunch/dinner lol. I enjoyed the area the hotel was in and felt safe in it. We stayed for two nights and it rained all day both days so we could not go in the pool even if it were open (had a sign on it saying pool closed, not sure if that was due to the weather as it's outside) the ice machine on the first floor did not work but that was not a big deal for us. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows too! This was the best hotel experience we've had in a while! I would love to stay again.

Synopsis - Great location, outstanding staff members, and good value make this a solid choice if you are looking for a place to stay in Wilmington. Breakfast was a bit good and a bit bad. Some of the food was cooked to perfection like the eggs and the sausage. There was a plethora of selections to eat though. Room was quite spacious and everything was in working condition. In our opinion, the staff were the biggest reason for this hotel being rated high. The members working while we were there truly made the stay. Some of the items at breakfast were not cooked well like the hashbrowns and the eggs, but there were plenty of other choices for food which was nice. There were also a number of amenities in the room itself that could use some updating like the television and the bathroom, but we didn't end up spending much time in the hotel itself. Overall this was a good budget-friendly stay. Would definitely consider it again next time we are in Wilmington. 4.5 of the Best Stars out of 5!

This best western was comfortable and quiet, considering it was college weekend /back to school for many students and parents in the area - it was busy. We had our border collie with us and the staff was helpful and kind. We enjoyed 2 mornings of great breakfasts. Better than expected. Although this area in general is pricey, we were happy that the trip to Wrightsville Beach wasn't over 30 minutes. There is a lot of traffic in the summer, so best to be out the door no later than 9am

The hotel is …fine…for the price. But I do think many of these reviews are way too generous. It was mostly clean, but some of it hasn’t been renovated, leaving parts of it looking kind of dingy. Parts of the vinyl flooring were popping up, stains all over the toilet seat, etc. My biggest issue is that everything had a musty smell- the halls, the room, even the sheets. We were looking forward to the free breakfast based on the reviews, and it was fine, but it was your basic continental breakfast. Does the job for a night, but I was ready to go home as soon as I woke up. The 12 pm checkout is a nice touch. It was very quiet.
